Review of The Island (2006) by Phillip D — 07 Apr 2015
Despite the fact that The Island is deeply derivative, it is a copy of decent films and Bay actually mutes his traditional fare a bit here in favor of a slightly more reflective and relatively well acted piece of work that happens to be pretty entertaining on the side.
In the grand scheme, The Island isn't great, but it is probably one of Bay's best works and still very watchable.
