Review of The Island (2005) by Rod S — 06 Feb 2014
Critics got this one all wrong. The acting is superb!! They nailed the childlike innocence and curiosity undertones. Viewing it in 2014, it still captures the future of technologies in a very believable manner. The only thing missing is the iPhone influence.
The chasing and action scenes are also superb and timeless. The DVD extras reveal how much of the action is real rather than cgi.
This is one of those authentic movies to purchase and see again and again.
