Review of The Invisible Man Returns (1940) by Eric R — 11 Nov 2010
Made in 1940,A wrongly convicted man (Vincent Price) escapes prison thanks to Dr.Frank Griffin (Brother of John Griffin from the first movie)'s Invisibility experimant,he is out to find the real killer while the authoroties chase him,but the Invisibility serum causes insanity.
The Invisible Man (1933) is a very hard act to follow and although this sequel lacks the humor and dark tone of the original its still an entertaining film,Price may not have the powerful performance of Claude Raines but he does a good job nevertheless, the highlights of this film are the amazing Special Effects, its a good combination of Universal monster movie and early Noir.
