Review of The Intruder (1962) by Bradley R — 26 Apr 2009
William Shatner was on rare form in this gutsy look into small town race relations during the USA's desegregation of the early 60's. It can boast an unflinchingly authentic milieu, provided by shooting in real Southern towns and utilizing the real racist attitudes of their citizens.
Very nicely directed by Roger Corman, probably his best film... not that that is saying much. Very interesting and underappreciated film!
