Review of The Intruder (1962) by Mia M — 29 Aug 2017
An outsider comes in and ignites the racism into full flame in an already racist town. The film is good in many ways. William Shatner as a charming and charismatic outsider, who feeds on the fears of the common folk with lies and deceit.
Surprisingly topical message, unfortunately. The only thing the movie got wrong was [spoilers!] that in reality, even after you expose the kingpin's lies, some people don't abandon them but continue supporting them no matter what and take no responsibility of their own actions and just keep on blaming the others for their own mistakes and wrongdoings.
So, unfortunately, the movies still beat reality. :(.
