Review of The Interpreter (2005) by Abel D — 31 Mar 2014
The final film of screen master Sydney Pollack, this transnational thriller is a fine work. It's slickly filmed, tightly edited, masterfully scored by Newton Howard who creates tension while infusing an African flavour, and a duo of strong performances from the leads.
However, don't expect major trope reversals.
