Review of The Interpreter (2005) by Matt M — 13 Apr 2013
One of the most interesting features of this film set in the UN is that it was actually shot in the UN building, and it was the first to be allowed to do so. This film is a more or less gripping thriller, with dubious pace, about an interpreter who overhears a whispered conversation of an assassination attempt.
It gets a little dull sometimes, but still doesn't quite give into cinematic conventionalities of the genre, which is admirable.
