Review of The Internship (2013) by Igor A — 04 Feb 2014
Overall, this was an average to good movie. I recognize and appreciate that this duo is trying to recapture their comedic gold a la Wedding Crashers; however, this flick falls short. I did find myself laughing throughout the film just not nearly as hard as the aforementioned movie.
Exploring the tough road people face of being laid off and then finding the need to rediscover oneself in a tech-savvy world in order to become employed once again is an all-too-relevant topic that these two deliver well together.
This movie has it's funny moments but also had moments that had me wishing the scene would end already. Again, an average movie with some laughs, sprinkled with a hint of love sappiness, and some feel-good, come-together moments, but mostly, a movie that will have you wishing you could work for Google too (at least I was after it was over).
