Review of The Innkeepers (2011) by Robert I — 22 Jan 2013
I thought it would be extremely difficult to follow up "House of the Devil", but Ti West managed to prove he's the real thing. Funny, engaging, great characters, great filming, great pacing.
It is bugging me how some people can't get into the film because it's a "slow burn", which I feel is an incorrect statement. The movie moves at just the right pacing. The same you find in Kubrick and Michael Mann movies.
I cannot recommend this film enough.
