Review of The Innkeepers (2011) by Kane L — 28 Jul 2013
The Innkeepers was rather hyped and adored around the time I heard about it, and after glimpses of it's content, I was uninterested and didn't believe that such a film was to my tastes. A few surprises were sent my way.
The character development was beyond anything I have seen in recent films of a mutual genre, and I found myself sympathising and even rooting for the leads. All the actors were top notch and the build up was enough to give you chills, yet in conclusion, the innkeepers seems unresolved and reasonably pointless.
Although eerie and scary at times, The Innkeepers led me somewhere I didn't desire to be... nowhere. This said it is well worth a rental, and a viewing, even if that's just to find enjoyment in the films imperfections.
