Paul Auster's cute little adaptation of his own short story is heavy-handed at times, but has some terrific ideas about creativity, the concept of the muse and the good grace to have the excellent David Thewlis playing the lead.
Not for everyone, but kind of like a sweet film festival snack... or a nice, afternoon-killing short story.
