Review of The Impossible (2012) by Trevor H — 05 Feb 2014
I cannot figure why established stars like Watts and McGregor are tempted to make movies as poor as this. I've watched documentaries on the tsunami that are a hundred times better. I found the plot to be ponderous and predictable and the characters, all five members of the family, to be uninteresting.
At the end, in a dream sequence, the tsunami recreation is shown again - a remarkable act of desperation on the director's part.
