While not close to a masterpiece by any means, The Impossible does have some great performances and moments that keep the film afloat. While Naomi Watts is great and carries the story, there's a lot of bad Hollywood movie moments that overshadow the good parts of the story.
The Impossible ends up being a bore, in spite of its achievements.
