Review of The Immigrant (2013) by John D — 21 Feb 2015
The Immigrant is a beautiful film by all means, and one half of the plot deeply and rewarding examines how one may loan rather than sell their soul. Unfortunately, the other half of the plot may as well have been taken directly out of Twilight, as Ewa is The Most Special Person Ever for no apparent reason.
Its a shame that the film sticks to its Mary Sure guns so hard, as the potential for a masterpiece is clearly apparent.
