Even though the production design is sumptuous and the cast is great, there`s something quite missing in The Immigrant. It might have to do with characters saying how they feel often at times, and the dialogue betrays the characters.
There is also a huge lack of resolution and the story loses steam about halfway through. Despite the costumes and sets looking pristine and fabulous, The Immigrant is a lacklustre drama.
