Review of The Illusionist (2009) by Scott G — 18 Mar 2011
A charming old fashioned animation, a french magician makes his way to london then from there to edinburgh playing to small crowds, and along the way, a frienship he makes with a young house maid, who he takes on the journey, wordless throught, with minor mumbles for words, it comes off great.
the two main charactors are great too, him trying to impress his new friend, and her possibly taking him for granted. whilst in edinburgh, the city itself beconmes a charactor and it works well, story runs well, and even becomes sad towards its conclusion, but with also many heartwarming moments throughout.
