Review of The Gruffalo (2009) by Mariam C — 08 Feb 2011
Very much a film for small children, some adults may appreciate the animation but nothing else I suppose. I think that James Cordon is talentless and it annoys me that he gets a bigger part than the likes of Rob Brydon.
I don't understand why somebody would spend so much money on some big name voices like Helena Bonham Carter and John Hurt for such a irrellevant bit of film unless they have money to burn. I suppose they have an oscar nomination but it really shouldn't win.
And, I have to add, what good is a kids story where the moral is that lying works when trying to get out of trouble.
