Review of The Illusionist (2009) by Tibor B — 22 Mar 2011
What a story, what an animation film. Great story with some surrealistic touch. A dramatic and deep in a sense, hidden truths and beliefs carried around by the characters.
An aging magician, looking heading to London from Paris; there a young woman is impressed with his magic.
Based on a letter as written by a French Director Jacques Tati to his daughter, who never wanted a man to depict her deceased father, in honor of his personification; thus this marvelous animation film was made.
