Review of The Illusionist (2009) by John T — 28 Mar 2011
Although Tati did not plan to play a role in it but decided to let Pierre Etaix to become the leading role when he wrote the script; although Tati wanted to make it in live action; although Tati's grandson claimed that the movie was referred to his mother Helga Marie-Jeanne rather than his aunt Sophie, I still thank Sylvain Chomet had brought Jacques Tati back to the cinema, on the screen.
I am overwhelmed when I saw Mon Oncle in The Illusionist, although this scene is actually a little bit awkward.
