Not because it's French. Nor it's animated. Or both. Mastery in the use of the medium to tell a simple yet striking story is the easiest and hardest way to be a true artist. Films do not need to rely on words to tell a story.
Picking the words to say and how you would exude all the rest you want to convey makes a craftsman a star.
