Review of The Illusionist (2009) by Katie B — 05 Oct 2011

So, I was watching this magical little movie thinking, "Wow, this may be my new favorite." The animation is beautiful, the storytelling is gentle, and the characters themselves are gorgeously portrayed without much dialogue.

But be warned. The ending is sad. Nobody dies, it's just one of those cerebral, ambiguous endings that leaves you feeling a little unfulfilled. It's really good, but let's just say, I'm glad Toy Story 3 won Best Picture instead.
