Review of The Hurt Locker (2008) by Margarita S — 20 Apr 2014
My first thoughts were, "Oh, no. It's going to be Top Gun with bombs." This, however, turned out to be a moving film about the life of soldiers who go overseas, put their lives at risk (in this case, diffusing bombs) and see/experience terrible things.
It gives audiences a look into what becomes of these soldiers - physically, emotionally, psychologically. It's handled so convincingly and with a solid performance from Renner.
