Review of The Hurt Locker (2008) by Anthony K — 05 Mar 2014
Thought provoking and very human story of punctuated stress, this movie is paced and formatted almost video game like, in that there are periods of incredible tension and violence (in the form of the bomb missions) interspersed with moments of "story".
My biggest issue is how these missions quickly become repetitive in their structure, and how the characters are allowed very little time between action sequences to breathe.
