This true story of Rubin "Hurricane" Carter is one of the most gripping stories you'll ever hear, exploring the corrupt justice that is racism that targeted and impacted his life negatively.
Denzel Washington as Rubin Carter makes a very strong, heartfelt performance that really shows his innocence and inspiration as a model of black society who had spent most of his life in prison for crimes he didn't commit by accusation of racist police officials.
A young black teen years later finds a book that Rubin had published long back about his own life, and through reading about his life gains an inspiration and ability to connect with Rubin's life, which influences him with some help to take on the case that will rightfully free him from prison.
Powerful, emotional, gripping, and a truly amazing picture.
