Yes, it's flawed. I'm not going to pretend it's perfect. But it has a great cast and really glorious special effects, and I think that should count for something. The film, I believe, has the same producers as Maleficent, and it's really quite similar to the appeal of that one. If you come for the story, you'll be disappointed, but if you come just to admire the visual work of masters, then you just might like it.

And really, a film with Jessica Chastain, Charlize Theron, and Emily Blunt must be tops on the strong female role spectrum.
