The opening has snow queen, Freya (Emily Blunt) taking her wrath against the world after her one true love slaughtered her very own baby daughter, unaware that her older decisive sister, Ravenna (Charlize Theron) may have something to do with it.

She spreads her wrath by stealing all the peasants children and murdering their parents turning their own children into warriors and fighting men. The real movie then takes over when 2 of Freya's best fighters for a man and a woman of Chris Hemsworth and Jessica Chastain rebel against the snow queen Freya's wishes as soon as they both begin to fall in love which is forbidden.
