The Hunt (Jagten -Danish) a Danish film written by Thomas Vinterberg, Tobias Lindholm, directed by Thomas Vinterberg (famous for The Celebration 12 years ago), Photography by Charlotte Bruus Christensen. Starring Mads Mikkelsen (main antagonist villain from Casino Royale), Thomas Bo Larsen, Annika Wedderkopp, Lasse Fogelstrom, Susse Wold, Anne Louise Hassing, Lars Ranthe, Alexandra Rapaport.

The Hunt was shown at Toronto International Film Festival, and contender at Cannes Film Festival, where Mads won the Best Actor award.

Divorced nursery teacher Lucas (Mads Mikkelsen), he is also a deer-hunter in the forest (a hobby that seems hierarchical from his grandfather). He is fighting for his son Marcus, who is in his teenage years. Lucas' humble attitude toward children is so mild and affectionate that his childhood best friend's 'Theo (Thomas Bo Larsen)' daughter Klara has crush on him. Klara, having seen p*rn on her elder brother's iPad, becomes nervous. She leads head of the day-care center believe that Lucas had exposed his pe**s to her - believing on the notion that 'children never lie' the head of day-care believes the story and spreads the issue like fire in the town. Lucas faces day-by-day taunting behavior and physical violence from the natives of town; even those who he would sit and drink with Lucas.

Mads' performance is vigorous and fierce. He keeps the tempo of tolerance, and withholds the frustration and fear bravely. His confrontation with the people of the town is a lesson that truth has to walk among wolves with head high and free-spirited.

The Hunt is probably one of the most thrilling films I have ever seen, and most certainly the well-worked film to contain a subject that possess rigid roots. The Hunt is essential for the people of the world, for it addresses an issue that if handled wrongly, might come-out disastrous (the way it occurs in the movie).

I was quite satisfied with the climax - this climax defines the entire film, the mystery of which leaves the fear linger around.
