Review of The Hunt (2013) by Paul C — 11 Feb 2018
Very uncomfortable movie, to watch what happens to this man. How cruel people can be. What can happen to a person in the blink of an eye, with no evidence of wrongdoing. Still, I believe this is a rare thing to happen in reality, so I didn't like the fact that it may push some to disbelieve when this sort of thing does happen.
However, the movie brings home the damage done, when a public goes too far in believing something, one way or the other, without enough evidence. And shows that cruelty is perhaps not the way to react.
Good movie with wonderful acting. And my goodness...how good can a man's bone structure be? THIS good, apparently. He was certainly blessed in the looks department. But back to the movie: it's disturbing, wonderfully acted and written, a little unbelievable in the neighbors' treatment of their friend, and kept my attention for the full length of the movie.
Men may find this more disturbing than women. Our male friend left the movie after a while, refusing to watch further; he found it too disturbing. But it's a good movie. If you're depressed and need a pick-me-up, though.
...this isn't it.
