Review of The Hunt (2013) by Ingela A — 13 Apr 2013
Mads has a variety of characters that he plays and if all you have ever seen him in is casino Royal and Hannibal then you are missing out. In The Hunt we get to see the "Clark Kent" Mads. Full of smiles and mild mannered we don't see a hint of chess playing psychopath or drug addled clown in this performance.
Even once the story turns he only shows the fire of a righteous anger when not deep in a well deserved sorrow. The backing cast is excellent as always, I think Scandinavian cinema is like a BBC miniseries, you can't get a job acting until you have headlined Hamlet on a very big stage.
The ending is great, something that seems to have become harder as scripts get better. Go watch it.
