Thanks to a benignant performance from Mads Mikkelsen, The Hunt proves to be a straight forward yet profoundly thoughtful drama, depicting the what-if events in the situation of a harmless lie ultimately becoming the deadly truth, with it's storyline unraveling quite naturally by it's assembled cast and Vinterberg's dedicated direction.
