Review of The Hunger Games (2012) by Cole B — 10 Jun 2014
A popular movie that's filled with one dimensional under developed characters and action. What's new? The first half sets it up decently, but not as good as it could. Surprisingly, Jennifer Lawrence is boring, but I think it's the weak script's fault. Her character interactions with Peeta are awkward and poorly done. They just kinda have feelings for each other out of nowhere, there's no type of setup. Woody Harrelson and Elizabeth Banks are great in the movie, though. The second half is very well made and action packed. The problems with this movie lie with the writers, not the actors. If it had better writing, it could be great.
