Review of The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939) by Andrew M — 07 Aug 2011
Impressive version of the famous story with Charles Laughton giving an excellent performance as the title character. I've never read the book and I guess thanks to the Disney version I was expecting Quasimodo to have more screentime.
A lot of great moments, particularly when he asks for water or when he saves Esmeralda. Beautiful to look at with a nice score and a great cast, I'm glad I finally saw this great film.
