Review of The Hudsucker Proxy (1994) by Mec R — 21 Mar 2008
A clever, fast-talking script. Great photography. The Coens are the masters of making the uninteresting interesting. They add absurdity to characters, magic to inanimate objects, and they make chatter visually interesting - when reporters interview Norville, instead of having him sit and talk for ten minutes, they show him all over town being followed by them, getting a shave with the barber pinching his nose for a moment while he keeps on talking.
