Review of The Hudsucker Proxy (1994) by Petros T — 21 Oct 2013
"The Hudsucker Proxy" has a wacky, surrealistic playfulness worthy of Tim Burton, a few good laughs and a decent cast (Charles Durning stands out and Coen regulars Steve Buscemi, Jon Polito and John Goodman all make cameo appearances).
Still, underneath the surface lies a rather conventional story, paired with not-always-believable visual artistry, thus resulting in an enjoyable if minor fairytale.
