If I showed you this movie and told you it was made in 2008 you would probably say I'm full of shit. Ti West manages to very successfully make this film look and feel like an 80's Horror film. This has got to be the best attempt I have seen for a modern movie. The setting and slow pace of the plot gives you a very uncomfortable feeling and that right there is something that is not done very well in today's Horror films.
If your a fan of the old school horror then you shouldn't think twice about seeing The House of the Devil. Definitely one of my recent favorites.
