Modern gorefest fans probably won't appreciate this much, if at all. The build-up to the climax is done well. [i]The House of the Devil[/i] is a throwback to earlier horror films that favor atmosphere and suggestion over the quite often over-the-top torture and violence of today's flicks.
If you like classics like Rosemary's Baby, I recommend this.
