Review of The Hound of the Baskervilles (1939) by Hanne H — 07 Feb 2007
The first round of Rathbone as Holmes is not to be missed by fans and by film enthusiasts a like. The treatment of the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's story of the mad dog that helped his master get what he wanted is very faithful in every sense.
The relationship of Holmes and Watson is started here with great care and consideration. The duo really look as if they have been friends all their lives and on the big screen the teasing nature that Holmes has with his best friend is so heart warming and rich in depth.
