Review of The Host (2006) by Mudassir C — 06 Sep 2009
I dislike monster movie, and horror movies in general, because their sole purpose is to provide cheap thrills for an audience that expects it. But this movie, like Cloverfield, turns the genre in its head. But unlile Cloverfield, none of the charcters are completely annoying retards.
The movie deals more with family dynamics and characyer development, rather than cheap monster movie tropes. Do check it out if you are looking for something familiar an different t the same time.
