Review of The Host (2006) by Cory B — 03 Feb 2010
Sad to say I was extremely disappointed in this... I really enjoyed Bong's Memories of Murder, and was excited to see what he could do with such a great genre. I also love Kang-ho Song (Thirst). But, the story was so abnormal and against the grain that it wasn't believable at all, and the creature effects were so-so at best.
It was definitely different, but it was almost -too- different. Bong's mix of intense drama and crude humor just didn't mix this time.
