Review of The Host (2006) by Ola K — 25 Jun 2010
This movie left me confused, i'm trained american popculture puppet and I feel lost when emotions are ambigiuous and inadequate, and half of the plot is irrelevant. and when I thought I figured out this movie it played with mine expectations one more time, it mixed actions with reactions in some twisted unfamiliar way and it made me respect its "outofboxness" even more.
One of the greatest scenes in movie history is when family grieves just after the first incident - subtlety of this scene put me in tears.
