Review of The Host (2006) by Justin V — 15 Oct 2010

WOW! The modern day Godzilla film with a unique and great story, lovable characters and a memorable monster! The major characters develop and grow all together and very drastically if I do say so myself as their personalities towards the situation amazingly changes the characters in a way I haven't seen done on film to often.

The music is haunting and amazing. The monster is cleverly created and the cinematography is beautiful giving a sheer dark tone of atmosphere with a few hints of comedic elements as well. The story flows very well and everything has great pacing.

I loved almost everything about this movie, it is one of the best monster films and I consider it to be up there with the king itself. Amazing film!
