Review of The Homesman (2014) by Jeremy R — 14 Jul 2015
Interesting that the critics liked this movie, while the audiences did not. It pretends to present the rugged pioneer world from the woman's vantage point. In reality, it is just a vehicle for Tommy Lee Jones, the producer/director.
to show off. The three women who are driven mad by the frontier might as well have been made of clay, for all that we learn of them. And the supposedly independent heroine (?), Mary Bee Cuddy (Hilary Swank), is nothing but.
Very disappointing.
