After watching this for the second time, I've reaffirmed my initial thoughts on the film. I loved it. What really stood out for me were the performances of the two children and Joan Chen. Joan Chen, of course, with her enchanting looks as the elusive mother; and Irene Chen and Joel Lok, who to be honest, never crossed my mind as inexperienced actors.
Above all, a powerful and evocative story by Tony Ayres. Great cast, great music, great story. Great.
