Review of The Holy Mountain (1973) by Cody Y — 29 Jul 2012
Bizarre and obscure are an understatement when it comes to the Holy Mountain. This is Jodorowsky's imagination released from the bounds and restrictions of budget. Filled with philosophical and religious symbols, a Jesus-like character named the Thief goes on a spiritual journey with the Alchemist and individuals representing the solar system as they embark to conquer the holy mountain and claim immortality.
This movie is an unforgettable entry into the arthouse genre.
