Review of The Hitcher (1986) by Mike F — 02 Sep 2007
This is nothing like the duel, and they shouldn;t waste 3/4 of the synopsis talking about another movie. The Hitcher is one of the best horror movies ever made, and certainly the best one with a mortal man as the antagonist.
Rutger Hauer does a masterful job portraying an ominous, demented serial killer who's true goal is not murder, but to set up naive college kid for the most horrifying experience of his life. This movie is graphic, cruel, and riveting.
