Review of The Hitcher (1986) by Andy N — 10 Nov 2007
Never pick up hitch hiker's. It's a rule of thumb parents always tell their children. There's good reason. This film is crazy awesome. Rutger Hauer proves once again he's a damned fine evil character actor.
His demented hitcher who wants to die but will only do so out of an act of courage on the victims part to kill him in a high octane fight by pushing them out of a car, running him over, whatever. It's an awesome movie with one of the coolest/cruelest kills in all of horror movie history.
