Review of The History Boys (2006) by Dan L — 11 Feb 2008
There are too many classroom scenes where the boys are (mass)debating the deep philosophical concepts of history, art and English that scream "look at us we're being clever" to the point of being patronising.
It does have its moments, however, and the themes it touches on are thought provoking and handled well. Shame it rambles on for so long as it'd probably make a very good 30 minute episode of Grange Hill.
