Review of The Hills Run Red (2009) by Nick G — 30 Jul 2011
A respectable low-grade horror movie. This movie is full of cliches, but it makes them work. The fact it is a horror movie about the filming of a horror movie allows some leway in that department.
I do for some reason feel like something is missing from the movie I watched.. maybe if I rented the DVD rather than streamed there would be more filler and closure in deleted scenes.
It's still a worthy effort for this type of straight to video slasher flick.
Props to William Sadler too. Someone I'm always willing to watch in almost any film, and he didn't disappoint. Janet Montgomery and Sophie Monk not so bad either. The two main male actors though left a little to be desired. They are as generic and cookie cutter as you can get, and didn't really bring much to the movie.
