Another sick exploitation piece from Wes Craven, The Hills Have Eyes is a revenge film at heart and a fairly scary little piece of horror. Craven doesn't pass judgement on his characters, he allows us the honour of doing that and in doing so he makes his films more accessible to us.

There are some fine performances all around here, of special note is Berryman, who has become something of a cult-icon thanks to his role in this film. Some of the most brutal murders ever committed to film are here in all their disgusting glory as well.

Seek this out if you haven't seen it and are a Craven fan...and really, who isn't?
