Review of The Hills Have Eyes (1977) by Eytan D — 09 Mar 2015
In a way, Alexandre Aja's remake is better, but they had to start somewhere, and boy, was it a good start. Wes Craven's "Last House" follow-up, "The Hills Have Eyes" has equally as much social/political commentary, intensity, and violence as "Last House on the Left".
It's intense, messed up, and a tough portrayal of a dog-eat-dog battle between the civilized American family and the mutant outcasts.
